I am so glad and feel very fortunate to now have a full size in Peachlite thanks to a BH giveaway that I won. I just love how it transforms a flat finish into a radiant one that has just enough glow for my aging skin. The MAC Strobe Cream has become a staple in my makeup routine. I only need to use a small amount, so it doesn't effect the foundation I am using.

It gives my skin a glowy look without being sparkly or too dewy. The way I like to use this cream is to either wear as a primer, or mix with my foundation.

Although tinted, it is only a very subtle tint. The Strobe Cream is a light cream consistency. To be honest, I didn't think that this would be a product for me because I don't like using a cream highlighter, but this product is much more than a highlighter.

I received the pinklite version in a trial size with a MAC order. It is in a base containing botanicals, antioxidants, vitamins and green tea which treat skin whilst giving a radiant glow. M.A.C Strobe Cream has an iridescent finish. However, I had used up the sample tube before I had a chance to try it with other products. It is possible that Strobe Cream could have worked if I had used a different moisturiser or foundation. I tried Strobe Cream as a highlighter on my cheeks, but it lifted some of the foundation and it accentuated some texture. It did not take long before the foundations started to break up in a subtle way, and they had disappeared from the sides of my nose after a couple of hours. I tried mixing Strobe Cream with the foundations, and initially the finish was creamier and more radiant. After a few hours, the foundations started to separate on my cheeks and nose (one foundation separated more than the other). Strobe Cream accentuated the larger pores and dryness on my cheeks. It is possible that the moisturiser that I had underneath was not compatible. I had to stipple the foundations many times to get them to adhere. I tried applying Strobe Cream under the foundations and they did not adhere well to the centre of my face. Strobe Cream has a light to medium consistency, it has a pearlescent white colour and a pleasant scent. Ever since, in-the-know professionals have been using it judiciously to moisturize, refresh, and brighten tired skin, sometimes mixing with foundation for an allover luminous effect (do try this at home). I tried Strobe Cream with the foundations to see if I could get a better result. Strobing may be all the rage in 2016, but MAC Strobe Creama unique liquid highlighter made from iridescent mineral pigmentspioneered the artform when it launched in 2000. One foundation left a slightly cakey finish and the other foundation was slightly mattifying.

The finish is demi-matte so it works amazingly as a base for your makeup to sit on top of and seems to really smooth and hydrate my skin as well as looking super radiant and dewy. The formula of Mac's Strobe Cream actually comes out as a white cream at first but then melts into the skin transforming into an pinkish pearlescent sheen once it's blended in. Personally my favourite way to use this Strobe Cream is by using it all over my face underneath my foundation because I love that glow from within look and that's exactly what you get from this, but during the Summer months I'll definitely be mixing a pea sized amount into my foundation for a lighter, fresher look! You can wear the strobe cream either under your foundation as a glowy base, mixed together with your foundation to create a dewy foundation look or you can use it sparingly on top of your foundation as a cream highlighter. The MAC Strobe Cream is actually a moisturiser that not only hydrates the skin but it also boosts the look of dull skin and luminizes with iridescent particles. Strobing seems to be huge at the moment and I'm actually really getting into the trend, if your not sure what strobing is its basically all about getting that perfect glow and enhancing your features by using only a highlighter and natural light, so it's the total opposite to contouring! I happen to love being all glowy, dewy and highlighted so this trend was immediately right up my street! I have been testing out some drugstore options over the last couple of months and actually really liked them, but I was still lusting after the ever so popular MAC Strobe Cream, and when I saw they had a 30ml travel size version available on their website for just £10.00 I had to try it!
